Friends Do Things Together

Friendships are hard.
Well, relationships in general are not a walk in the park. I struggle with friendships because I like being alone. An introvert if you prefer.
All my life I have had this rule that I could hang out once a week. (I made this rule in elementary, not my parents, but me.) Of course, as life moved forward I was dancing multiple times a week, working, and singing. All of these activities had some of my 'best friends' and because of this, I didn't really need to make an effort to hang out with people. I loved doing all these extracurricular activities because each activity had different people. What I am saying is, in high school it was easy to hang out with friends. But then I graduated and my friendships haven't exactly been the same.
I have learned in the past two(ish) years that best friends forever doesn't mean diddly-squat. More like best friends for the day, month, year. -And I really don't mean this to hurt feelings or point out certain people I am just saying how things are for me.
I love my friends but I honestly don't have the time and energy to fit everyone in on a regular basis. So if we communicate in some way at least twice a year, consider yourself very lucky. Adulthood makes everyone busy and I understand that. I have a few friends from high school that I am still in touch with. I consider Jami one of my best friends even though we rarely talk and hang out. Our lives are crazy busy and it is hard to stay all caught up. Yet, when we see each other we get caught up with each other's lives and it is like no time has past. I considered this a great relationship because time doesn't affect us. But I also take it for granted. I forget to send her a message to see how she is doing. I just assume that life is okay and I will hear about it next time we hang out. It really is a bad mentality but I am only human.
Beside, it is okay to occasionally catch up with people's lives by looking at their Facebook profile. And I count that as effort.
Anyways, thanks for reading my ramblings.

All Is Merry & Bright

I want everyone to know that I made a gingerbread house. There is a picture below (not completed) but you get the idea. I am not creative when it comes to making things with my hands but after a few hours I was starting to get the hang of it. It was fun spending hours with my mom and her cousins. They always know how to laugh and have a good time. [I guess that is where I learned it.]

I also made Christmas Sugar Cookies with Marnie and Shaelee. This was a first time as well. Turns out, sugar cookies are not my thing. I kept breaking the cookies. Poor Marnie's cookies. They never had a chance.
All I know is that Christmas is coming, the goose is getting fat. It is time to celebrate so don't mind me while I cram my homework into one week so I can celebrate Christmas to the fullest.
So blast the Christmas music, go shopping, and don't forget to decorate your tree.
Merry Christmas!!

Thanksgiving Twenty Fifteen

I love holidays. Mainly because normal life is put on pause to celebrate something of greater importance.
Plus, great food-all the time.

Traverse Mountain

A year later and we are still the three amigos.
It is fun to ponder and where our lives were last year and how things have changed.
I guess you can say that we are all growing up. There are fun things in our future, and yes, Christmas is one of those things. We have thus entered the MOST WONDERFUL TIME OF THE YEAR! I just love the Christmas season. We get to celebrate the greatest gift to mankind, Christ's birth. It is a season of giving and believing. Also, don't forget, Thanksgiving is a few weeks away, so be thankful that you have a wonderful life. Even if you are facing trials, just remember, that you are alive and there is people who love you.  Also, tell your loved ones how you feel. Time is too short on this earth.
Wow, that post when from happy-go-lucky to some deeper thoughts. I just want to say that we live in a crazy world and it is 100% unpredictable. So just know, if you are reading this post, I must love you!!

Crayola Doesn't Make The Color For Your Eyes

hey.
If you know me, you know that Halloween isn't exactly my favorite holiday. My favorite thing about Halloween is that it is in the fall. Everything else I could live without. Yes, even the candy :). To be completely honest, if I didn't have to dress up for work, I probably wouldn't even consider "being" something for Halloween. Last year were made some awesome (see what I did there?) costumes. If you need a refresher course you can find the blog post here. We learned our lesson last year, that even though our costumes were amazing, we weren't able to wear them while doing our normal work activities. This year we decided to make something we could wear all day long.
Marnie made the stencil for our shirts and she made the crayon box! Did I mention that is practically made my costume last year too? ;)

Besides Halloween, my life is steady. School, work, church. But I am trying to make some plans for the future that will shake things up a bit. So stay tuned.

Wifi

My house doesn't have wifi. Well, technically it has wifi, it just doesn't work. We basically live in a dead zone. Now, this is fine except that I am taking online classes, have assignments due by midnight, and I just need to wifi for my life to continue. I have made a a couple trips to the church to get my assignments done. So life is working out just enough for me to get by (adding a few levels of stress).
Also, sunsets are still a favorite of mine.

Sisters

Meme, Keshia, Christina, Mom, Jennie & Heidi
These are my sisters.
Of course those that know me really know that three of them are my "sister-in-laws" but I don't like to call them that. I just like to say that I have four sisters. It tends to confuse people, so I'll ease into it. That is why if I tell a story I clarify but in all reality, I call them sisters.

HCT

Hale Center Theater is easily one of my favorite places. I forget how much I love it until I go back for another production. In the last twelve months I have been blessed to see 4 musicals: A Christmas Carol, The Little Mermaid -twice- and Oklahoma.

I don't know about you, but it is a goal of mine to become a season ticket holder.
